Greetings Sunny,
BVI - A few of "Nature's Little Secrets"
A little known nature trail board walk is located behind the HL Stoutt Community College Marine Studies Building. This beautiful path was constructed so as not to affect the natural mangrove setting and has benches for resting, and finally ends up in Paraquita Bay. There is superb fishing from the pier at the end of the trail. This walkway, dedicated to the late Roger Downing, is indeed one of Nature's Little Secrets and is well worth the trip. Another little known site in Road Town is the Sugar Works Museum which features a wide variety of historical objects with descriptions, from the earliest days to the present. The Museum is also the site of regular art shows and other special events. Work is underway at the Queen Elizabeth Park which will provide an large recreation area in the heart of Road Town, offering a seaside boardwalk, jogging track, shaded picnic areas and a venue for various activties. This exciting project is expected to be completed this year... see artist rendering below. Read more about this project. ..... To be continued
