Jerk Rice

Posted September 18 2012

Our Jerk Rice recipe makes a fantastic side dish that can accompany any meal but we like it along side a nice curry!  To add a little more zip, use a dash or two of Tangy Tropical Ting Or Caribbee Hot Sauce but as ever with hot sauce, handle with care!

Add The First Four Ingredients Together In 2 Qt. Sauce Pan And Bring To Boil.
Meanwhile, Saute Onion And Pepper In Oil.
Add To Seasoned Water With Rice When Water Boils.
Cook Over Low Heat Until Water Is Absorbed, About 15-20 Min. (Serves 4).

With The Addition Of Meat (Beef, Sausage, Pork Or Chicken), This Becomes A Jamaican Main Dish Called "Dirty Rice".
